 PRINCIPALS’ REPORT

As the end of the term approaches, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible achievements and memorable moments that have defined this period at RGLPS. It has been a term filled with remarkable events, dedicated efforts, and unwavering resilience from our school community.

ANZAC Day Assembly: Honoring Heroes

We commenced the term with a heartfelt tribute to our nation’s heroes through a remarkable ANZAC Day assembly. The event brought together students, staff, and parents to commemorate the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have served our country. We were truly moved by the respect and gratitude displayed by our students during this solemn occasion.

Interschool Sports Triumphs

Our Interschool sports teams have once again showcased their exceptional talents and sportsmanship throughout the term. With tremendous dedication and commitment, many of our teams have reached the finals, a testament to their hard work and determination. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and commend their unwavering spirit.

Super Band's Unforgettable Performance

A highlight of this term was the joint music concert with Montmorency Secondary College. The Super Band took the stage by storm, enchanting the audience with their mesmerizing rendition of the Mandalorian theme. The collaboration between our schools was a resounding success, and it demonstrated the power of music to unite and inspire. We congratulate all the students who participated and extend our appreciation to the teachers for their guidance and support.

Sustaining Excellence Amid Challenges

Despite facing staff shortages, our school community rallied together and ensured that our programs continued to run smoothly. The dedication and adaptability demonstrated by our teachers and staff were truly commendable. No program was sacrificed, and we were even able to provide tutoring and enrichment programs across the school. We deeply appreciate their unwavering commitment to our students’ education and well-being.

Staffing Alterations Term 3

Our staff, students and community alike are very keen to welcome back Luke Franklin next term. Luke has been driving around Australia with his family this term. He is very well rested and ready to take on the challenges of term 3. Denisse Lobos will also be returning from her family leave late in August. Maddie Huglin will return from her family leave and she will be teaching AUSLAN, Ant De Melis will also be increasing her days to pick up some additional AUSLAN lessons. Lauren Zahra will move from AUSLAN into Art and Brooke De Vries will depart from the Art room as she pursues other opportunities at Carey Grammar.

3 - Way Conferences

On Wednesday the 19th of July we will be running our 3-way conferences. This is run as a variation to the school day to allow working parents to attend evening sessions. We will commence at 11:00am and conclude at 7:00pm. Bookings will open on Monday the 10th of July through Compass. Please note students will attend the conference to share their learning journey from this year. Students are only in attendance during their allocated 15-minute timeslot. TheirCare will provide a program for those who need it. Please book your child into TheirCare if you require additional care on the day.

Looking Ahead

As we prepare for a well-deserved break, we encourage students to take time for rest, rejuvenation, and pursuing their passions. Term 3 holds exciting prospects, including upcoming events like the STEM Festival, many enriching educational experiences, and new opportunities for personal growth.

We extend our gratitude to the entire school community for their ongoing support, collaboration, and resilience throughout this term. It is through our collective efforts that we continue to nurture a thriving learning environment for our students.

Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable holiday break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another enriching term at Rosanna Golf Links Primary School.
